The President of the BOD, Mr. Stathis G. Arapostathis, participated as a speaker in the international summer school of the Russian Geographical Society titled as: “Geography for Everyone”
The participants were Geographers and scientists from various disciplines that share an interest in Geography.
Within this framework, an interesting presentation was held regarding the current status of Geography in Greece:
Various topics, including the society awareness of the profession of Geographer, the educational status of geography in all educational levels, potentials of the profession in Greece along with various comparative advantages and disadvantages, were introduced and analyzed in depth. Moreover, a creative discussion with all the participants also took place.
The Geographers’ Association of Greece feels grateful and wants to thank the representatives of the Russian Geographical Society for the invitation in an event that was held according to the highest international standards.
